Doggy problems?

My dog is the most sweetist thing out but man is he lazy when it comes to walking. He is not a fat dog nor is he a malnourished dog. He is just very lazy and i cant get him to come walking with me. Everytime i walk him i am pulling at him to get up (anyone who drives past orta think that im trying to kill him) i just want to get him walking. How do i motivate my dog to go for walks?
Answers:
Lead him on with some treats..but make sure it's something "worth" walking for. I give my dog real chicken or turkey when we're training her, and boy does she do what she is asked to do! Make sure you give A LOT of praise when your doggy walks and make it fun for him!! Good Luck!

Offer him treats. If you motivate him with treats then he might think walking if fun. Good luck
somehow show him that walking is fun...if thats not his thing throw a tennis ball, make him chase a laser pointer, play tug o war on a rope, or put a birdie ( like the badmitton kind) on a fishing pole try to get him to chase it for exercise or try running on the leash to see if he enjoys that more
maybe he feels like he has no, uhhum, "business".
also, if he's sniffing, just let him.
Well..I would start out slow.he will need to get used to the exercise, just like people.if we do too much at once, we wake up sore the next day. Try to make it a fun experience. Take some treats, go to a park where he will see other dogs. When he realizes how fun it is to spend quality time with you, he will be running to the door when it's time for his walk!
start off with steps. one day walk maybe around the block then in 1 week or so walk around 2 blocks and keep repeating that pattern. It will also help to bring treats or a tennis ball along on the walk. hope i could help.
How old is he? Are you trying to make a 15-year old dog briskly walk with you when he may have arthritis? Have you even made the effort to take him to the vet for a recent checkup to ensure that there isn't a problem? Can he see all right? Hear all right?
