I have a 19 mo. old female malamute and would like to get another one in the spring. I've read that two of the same sex compete and fight. Anyone have any suggestions? Do you think I should get a male?

Hey, I have a siberian husky male pup. I've heard the same thing about two female dogs. Get a male if your female is fixed. They'll entertain one another and be boyfriend and girlfriend.
Yes, get a male. spay / neuter them both and you won't have any problems.
