My pitbull is 5 months old and he LOVES milk everytime im eating cereal and i leave the room he ruins it by drinking out of it lol so do u think it would be ok to give him just regular cows milk that u buy from the store and would this make him fat or sick?
Answers:
give him some as a treat once or twice a week but don,t overdo it water is far better for him but a treat every now and then won,t hurt
Dogs are lactose intolerant, feeding your dog milk will cause him to have diarrhea which can in turn cause dehydration and severe muscle cramps. Stick to water.
Cow milk is not for dogs. They'll end up barfing and have lots of diarreah. You can buy the puppymilk formula or cans from your local pet store, that'll help a lot.
milk is not good to give to dogs. lactaid is ok, since it does not contain lactose.
a good summertime treat...fill paper cups with lactaid and freeze. give them to you dog...kinda like home made "frosty paws".
i am not so sure but just in case u should just give it regular water before u give it milk^^
i have a 5 month old half minpin and half pom. i give him milk . not every day but at least two days a week and it doesnt hurt him. i also have puppy milk in a can you mix with water . i give it to him. i think it will be ok. but if your not sure call a vet.
not sure. ask the people at petco if its okay.
nah milk is not for dogs thats for cats
Milk is not good for your dog's digestive system, much like has already been explained to you.
Other things that are not good for your dog:
Chocolate
Lunch meats (cold cuts)
Tomato sauce (pizza, pasta, etc.)
Anything high in sodium (salt)
Anything high in sugar
Human food that is okay for dogs:
Apples
Carrots
Pasta (plain, no sauce)
Bread (plain)
Most Veggies as long as they are not cooked with sodium or butter.
It will give him diarrhea, or at very least upset stomach... They can't digest milk after a certain age, and cow's milk is for cows.. You should quit leaving your cereal bowl unattended..
