Golden retriever?

i have a 5 month old boy golden retriever...he weighs 52 lbs..is this big for his age? i took him to the vet and when she weighed him and looked at him she said he was going to be a big boy and weigh around 100 lbs..could that be true?
Answers:
Sounds about right. Mine was about that weight at 5 months and he is 95 lbs now, fully grown. He went down to about 87 lbs once due to moving stress and was too skinny.
This is larger than the breed standard which is about 70 lbs for males - for some reason there are a lot of oversized goldens out there. I had another male that was also close to 100 lbs. and not overweight - a rescue dog.
Females are smaller with this breed. My female is about 65-70 lbs.
My RR was 55 lbs at 5 months, and she's now only 75, so I'd say he might get to 80. if you overfeed he will get even bigger.
Yes, this could be true, my uncle's golden got to around 90ish, so 100 is possible. And 52 is around normal Iwould say.
Well i dont know if the vet was right..but at the website provided there is a fromula that can help to identify how larg your boy will be...it explains it better than I can but it goes like this
*!*2 x puppy's weight at 4 months and add up to 10 pounds*!*
****Dont mind the website name..it is for all puppies****
sure
