I'm looking for a golden retriever rescue that is located in or around the Asheville, NC area. I've been searching on the internet but am not having any luck.

Have you checked petfinder? Try there classifieds as well.It will start with the closest to you. Some rescues will work with out of state adopters. Many have a network of organizations to help them facilitate the adoption and transport. Good luck with your future golden.
