Goldens and Labradors are probably the the friendliest dog and most evenly tempered of all the different breeds. However every single dog is unique. I have had one lab and two goldens that I have rescued and their temperament was not always easy going at first, but I found that with love and patience their true nature came back out. Sweet and Lovable.

I think Golden are generally very friendly, but sometimes in the past I met few Golden Retrievers who didn't behave in a friendly way. I've always had great experiences with Labs. I think they are amazing dogs, and they are also great dogs for children.

I don't know if they are considered the friendliest dogs but yes they are very friendly. They are very happy and have smiling faces. They do require a lot of exercise as they do tend to pent up energy when cooped up.

They are the breed with the most stable temperament or at least one of the most stable available today. Labs, Bichons and beagles usually have really good temperaments too as do shih tzus. But nothing beats a golden for all around gentleness and kindness.

Any dog can be friendly if you train it well. Golden's like any dog need to be trained. They are one of the friendliest dog I know. Labs and Beagle's and Newfies and Saint Bernard's and Mastiffs can also be very friendly. The Golden has one of the most even temperament if bred well and trained.
This can be said of any well bred dog.

We have a boxer and she is one of the friendliest dogs I have ever had. She loves everyone and would'nt hurt a flea. Beware though...they are high energy and love to run-around.
