Feeding my puppy?

so i feed her about a cup twice a day she seems to me and her regular vet to be at a healthy weight, shes prob. about 3-3 1/2 months and weighs 13lbs but we saw a different vet today due to hers being out and he says she looks a little thin and for her size should be about 25lbs.
so what im asking is:
is 13lbs and okay weight for a 3-3 1/2 month old Boxer/ Lab and possibly pitbull mix ?
(shes a mutt, we rescued her so we dont know her exact breed or age)
Answers:
With a mixed breed it's impossible to say what she should weigh. A person would need to see her.
Can you see her spine and ribs? And if so, can you put your finger in the indents between ribs? If you can, she's likely a little thin. If not, she's probably a good weight. Hard to tell without seeing her.
Just remember, puppies go through gangly stages when they're growing - if she's just had a spurt where she grew in height, she might look thin until her body catches up. The other thing is, it's healthier to be a bit underweight, than overweight.
i'm not to sure but i think that sounds a little bit low maybe you should try adding something else to her food or something
You should probably feed her 2 cups twice a day. Because she seems kind of underweight. She could also be skinny because she is playfull and when she eats, she just burns all the calories by playing.
you should wait until your regular vet comes back because this vet is not your actual vet so she can say anything just wait for your original doctor because it seems to me your dog diet is fine
frist of all that is a little thin and second i would suggest feeding 3 times a day intill she is about 9 mounths and feed her 1and a 1/2 to 2 cups of food because shes a big dog . trust me i am a dog expert
I would feed that amount 3 times a day until she's 6 months old, then twice a day after that. She's a growing puppy and needs the food to grow. If she's running around a lot too, she is going to burn off the food and needs more, like fuel for a car. So try and feed Breakfast, lunch and an early dinner and see how she does. She's lucky to have you in her life now!All the best;~)
Hello! And congrats on the new puppy :) Happy to see that she is a rescue! I use to work at a rescue for two years!! Anyway to get to your question. I would begin feeding her a bit more. Since she is a large breed dog and therefor her weight at this age is a few lbs under. 20-25 would be a great range for her. I would recommend a cup and a half with playtime to build up muscles for her too. And since you don't know her exact age she could be older then 3 months...personally I don't think rescues would let puppies go at that young of an age due to different types of puppy disease, I know we didn't but that could just be us :) So putting a few pounds on her will not be harmful with the proper diet and exercise :) Hope this helps!! And if anyone feels different please correct me! :D
It's hard to say definately cause she is a mixed dog. But our puppies at say 14 weeks are approx 22-25 lbs
for a female. So I would say maybe 20-22 lbs for a boxer/lab mix..
