Female Puppies+ Dog?

Does Female Dogs get Peroids like Human Womens? and when do they get it what do you do? is it alot of work?
Answers:
I have a female lab. She goes into heat about every 7 months. Each dog varies, but they average around 6-8 months between cycles. It lasts for about two weeks and then goes away. I believe they start getting their cycle around 6 months of age. It really isn't too bad to deal with. I buy a package of pull-up diapers and cut out a hole for her tail. She wears them when in the house. When they go into heat, be careful. Around the tenth day is when they are most able to be inpregnated. If you are not thinking about breeding your dog, I would have it spayed. It is cheaper to have it done earlier, but the dog benefits from the added hormones the cycle offers.
Female dogs go into heat if they're not fixed, and they do bleed. It is less often as a female human period (I think it only happens like twice a year). You generally just throw diapers on them if you're keeping them in the house.
To some extent they kinda do. What do you mean is it a lot of work?
Kind of. It's not the same as human periods, but dogs do go into heat, and then they bleed, kind of like a period. During this time, they can become pregnant. It is annoying, but if you put a diaper on the dog, it's not as messy.
You should get your dog spayed, as this will make her periods stop completely.
female dogs do go into heat and bleed all u have 2 do is put a diapper on it and there u go!
To prevent a dog from going into heat, get it "fixed", i.e. spayed. You won't have to deal with any messes or behavioral problems or unwanted puppies. There is no medical reason to wait until the dog has gone into her first heat.
no not really, they go into heat. i don't really think you have to do any thing except for put up with all the crying and barking i guess. my dogs stay outside but when cats go into heat it's torture.
good luck
Well, if you're worried about the mess you could always spay the dog and never have to deal with it. Who ever said it isn't messy has never had a Saint in heat. First they start peeing everywhere and then they bleed like crazy. You didn't mention the size dog you have or its breed. I still don't understand what you're asking about puppies? You aren't planning on breeding are you? Honestly if you come on here with this kind of question you shouldn't even consider it!
Yes. They go into heat just like humans do. This happens around every 6 months. Try to keep her away from males at this time unless you want puppies!
