There are many products on the market, but for a natural remover, try cornflour and water, mix into a paste and apply to the stains, leave over night, comb out or wash off, continue to do this twice to 3 times a week, this is a natural bleac which is harmless to your dog, continue to apply this on a regular basis and you will see a difference.
Dog groomer / vet nurse.
change her diet to a better food, one with no corn or wheat.give it a bit and it will make a world of a difference.
I agree with the above answers and will add that Ive also heard of PPl giving their dogs distilled water rather than tap to avoid tear stains as well as a few other health issues.
unfortunatley there isn't anything that will take off the stains... the tears have a pigment in them and that is what causes the staining, don't waste your money on all these different products. they won't work. and there isn't any product that will prevent it. the only thing you can do is either take your pup to the groomer and have them trim the hair around the eyes a little and wait for it to grow out and re-cut it or you can cut it yourself if you know how. make sure there isn't any fur irritating their eyes, sometimes the fur can irritate their eyes causing more tears. just keep the area dry, and wiping it (cotton ball and water will work just fine)
I could point you to some products at Petco or Petsmart, but the reason why some products work on Maltese dogs eye stain and some don't is because there are many different causes of eye stain. Anything from ear infections to allergies can be the cause.
Luckily there are also many different effective solutions too. This website matches you up with the remedy that's right for your Maltese: http://www.maltesemaniac.com/maltese-eye...
